The Yatir winery was founded in 2000, as a joint venture between leading winery Carmel and a group of local growers, who had recognised the potential of this southerly section of the Judean Hills. The vines are grown at around 900 metres altitude, yielding top quality, rich, balanced and complex wines.
This is Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Malbec blend, with a really appealing nose of sloe, damson, some coffee oak. Deep and rich, this is classy stuff with soft, ripe tannins – a lovely wine by any measure.
