The Vrinioti family winery, located on the island of Evia, was established in 2002. But, the relationship with wine goes back to when Konstantinos Vriniotis’s ancestors started planting vines in the area and built an old traditional stone winery. The 45 hectare estate is farmed organically and planted with Syrah and the Greek red Vradiano and white grapes Assyrtiko and Malagouzia.
Grape Varieties: 100% Assyrtiko.
Tasting Notes: Rich yellow gold, this has intense lemon rind and lemongrass aromatics, typical of Assyrtiko, underpinned by crisp, fresh acidity. With a touch of saline, stony minerality and plenty of length, this is great with rich seafood dishes.
