Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique

Kavalan Soloist Vinho Barrique is matured in used American oak wine barrels that have been toasted and recharred. Having been used to mature both red and white wines, the casks add a complex fruitiness to this expression.

Tasting Notes: Very much a reflection of the casks in which it is matured – sticky fruit, intense and tannic red wine, dark cherries. The sweetness offered again comes from the cask, think liquorice and sweet clove. A testament to Kavalan’s knowledge and understanding of their casks used as the foundaton to building their flavours.
